Premium Pit Resin

Pit resins are not just thicker versions of fill resins, the chemistry targets a specific purpose. Premium Pit Resin formulations provide a hard, smooth cured surface for maximum resistance to weather, wiper abrasion, chemicals, etc. In addition, the higher viscosity of pit resins help it to stay in place on vertical surfaces while the curing tab is applied.

Overall, injection resins formulations are for maximum elasticity (flex). Basically, as the glass expands and contracts, due to changing temperatures and body flex, the injection resin expands and contracts with it. This is important for all types of damage and essential for star breaks and cracks.

How Do You Polish a Pit?

Learn how to use Delta Kits Pit Polishing Cork to polish the rock chip pit with Premium Pit Polish, an important final finishing step during the windscreen repair process. Cosmetically, the repair will turn out with a much nicer finish after buffing with pit polish, rather than not buffing out the minor scratches in the hardened resin left from the razor blade.

Graham Watson, is one of the original Novus Technicians in the UK since 1988 and since then has been running a very successful windscreen repair service in the UK. In 2008 Graham was named Windshield Repair Person of the year at the Mobile Tech Expo, an award he is very proud of as it is voted for by his peers in the trade.
